What cleanser goes best with Aczone and differin?
Aczone and Differin help!
I currently am using proactive cleanser then applying an astringent followed by aczone during the day and differing at night. After each application i use the elta md moisterizer. This combination works well but i am looking for an alternate cleanser.
Should i use benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid? And which product would be fit?

I'm on Differin too and my doctor gave me CeraVe which is a very gentle cleaner that won't irritate the skin. Cetaphil is a very similar formula.

Can you use Aczone as spot treatment if you've never used it before?
I have an awful pimple on the corner of my mouth (if you have any idea how to prevent these please tell me it seems to be the only place I get deep sore pimples) and a few months ago my friend gave me a few sample tubes of Aczone (dapsone) gel. I believe dapsone is an antibiotic however I've never touched these samples, would it be a bad idea to try and treat this one sore pimple with the Aczone? Please help!

If it's sensitive enough for your face, then it should be okay for any area of your external body.

If my face is already clear just a little red should I use aczone?
After taking accutine I used the lotion glytone to clear up my acne scars. This along with the accutine that was left over in my system made my skin quite red. Now my dermatologist prescribed me aczone which he said will reduce redness but I read places that it causes redness? Does anyone know the truth?

No. Maybe it works differently for different people. But why don't you use it for a week on a bit of tender skin other than your face, say on the inside of your left wrist so it doesn't bother you, and see what it does?

Been using aczone and minocycline for 6 months?
Been using aczone ( perscription acne topical) and minocycline ( antibiotic ) for 6 months and have seen basically no results in the clearing of my acne, my dermatologist told me for my next visit she is going to put me on isotretinoin. ive read alot of about it from wikipedia and other sites but if anyone could give me some advice about isotretinoin perhaps if you have used it before or if you have some advice about someone in my situation. thanks

yeah i did. it worked very well for about a month but then i guess my face became "immune" to it and it was not as effective as before. it's not a strong medicine so that's probably why..but i hope it works well for you

should i apply aczone first and then finacea or the other way around?

I would put the one on first that dries fastest. Probably the Finacea. Switch if the Aczone seems to take off the gel.

Each individual person is different, and each different skin has it's own qualities and reactions to products. Aczone on average should work, but for some individuals it works better and for some not as much. Try it for awhile and see it's effects. If anything bad happens to your skin or body while on it, stop using it and go talk to your doctor.

tretinoin creme and aczone burns my skin?
i am using these because i went to the dermatologist for acne and it just burns realy bad now like when ever i put moisturizer on it or move my cheeks it hurts realy bad and burns and it gets realy red and idk wat to do?

i have used tretinoin before:there are different strength cremes available.Call your dr,ask for a "weaker" tretinoin.
also,only treat the spots(im not a 100%) that need treatment.
yes it can make your face peel.
the other thing:aczone?
i don't know this one,never used it.

Has anyone ever heard of or used oral Dapsone for Acne?
Not the Aczone Gel but the oral pill, and I know its for leprosy but I heard it can treat acne.
