i cn;t get into the denist or my family doctor what antiboctic can i take for this abcessed tooth ive got some cefdinir can i take them untill i get in to the doctor

How long do I have to wait before I am allowed to take Cefdinir?
I have taken erythromycin two hours ago. but that antibiotic was not really helping, so my doctor prescribed me Cefdinir. How long must I wait before I can take Cefdinir, or do I not have to wait at all. Will it interfere with the first antibiotic I was taking? (erythromycin) By the way I have a strep throat thats why I was prescribed theses, so please help! Can I take Cefdinir right away?

I recently began taking cefdinir and am wondering what the HARMLESS side effects are?
I just began taking cefdinir for strep throat. my doctor is aware of my amoxocillin allergy but he gave it to me anyway. are there any side effects to this medication? 300 milligrams twice daily. thanks!

First this is not in the penicillin family, so should have absolutely no impact on your existing allergy. This is a broad spectrum antibiotic in the cephalsporin family -- it is a potent and effective antibiotic.

The side effect profile is pretty standard with most antibiotics and isn't extensive.

You could experience: diarrhea, nausea, headache, and/or abdominal pain.

Though you very likely will experience no side effects.

Can I take Ibuprofen while on Cefdinir (substitute for Omnicef)? It is an antibiotic.?
I'm on a 2x a day for 10 day antibiotic. Cefdinir (substitute for Omnicef). Can I also take Ibuprofen with this medication for a headache?

No. Cefdinir is an antibiotic, floconazole is an antifungal. They treat different things and taking them together does not decrease the effects of either.

what is the dose of cefdinir 250mg oral suspension for a 10 year old child ?
it is omnicef 250mg/5ml powder that gets mixed with water

Actually don't call a pharmacy or pharmacist as most would not give you a direct answer and question why you are asking this question in the first place.

What happened? Did the Omnicef truck drop a case on the street? - Go ask your doctor or try reading the label on the bottle if you acquired this bottle legitimately via prescription.

My child is 70 pounds (avg. 10 yr, old) his dose is 8ml once per day.( the 250 is per 5ml or 1 tsp) so I use a syringe dispenser to get exact prescribed 8ml.

Is it bad to swallow only the powder in a cefdinir capsule?
First time using capsules. I opened it up and swallowed only the powder. Is it safe? Or will I have really bad things happen after doing that. D:

Chances are you didn't do any damage -- it's just an antibiotic. The only issue I would guess at is that, had you not taken the powder "directly", the capsule would have not dissolved until it was in your stomach, releasing the medicine there and in your intestines... if the powder were a bit caustic it might cause some minor damage to your esophagus as it went down.

what kind of bacterial infections would you take Omnicef (cefdinir) 300mg?
I have a friend who is taking these and I was curious as to what exactly they are used for, Thanks!

Here is some information from the package insert of Omnicef:

Aerobic Gram-positive microorganisms:
Staphylococcus aureus (including b-lactamase producing strains)
- (Note: cefdinir is inactive agains methicillin-resistant staphylococci).
Streptococcus pneumoniae
Streptococcus pyogenes

Aerobic Gram-negative microorganisms:
Haemophilus influenza (including b-lactamase producing strains)
Haemophilus parainfluenzae (including b-lactamase producing strains)
Moraxella catarrhalis (including b-lactamase producing strains)

Aerobic Gram-positive microorganisms:
Staphylococcus epidermidis (methicillin-susceptible strains only)
Streptococcus agalactiae
Viridans group streptococci
Note: Cefdinir is inactive against enterococcus and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus species.

Aerobic Gram-negative microorganisms:
Citrobacter diversus
E. coli
Klebsiella pneumoniae
Proteus mirabilis
(note: cefdinir is inactive against Pseudomonas and Enterobacter species).

I am SEVERELY allergic to penicillin. My doctor prescribed me cefdinir for a sinus infection should i take it?
im so afraid to take it. i had anifilatic shock when i toke penicillin as a baby..PLEASE HELP!!!!

Can the Cefdinir capsules be broken and take the inside of the capsule by itself?
My daughter can not take pills and she broke the capsule in half taking the powder in the center only, I'm worried that this may not be good for her.

It is not a time release capsule, so it is OK to take it apart. She should have mentioned this to the pharmacist before the prescription was filled. It is also available as an oral suspension.

can you get high off of the following?
first off. this is not to get me high. im trying to figure it our so i know whether to watch how many are being taken and if i should worry that my daughter is going behind my back.

Ultram is an opiate. Opiates get you high. Its effects are similar to codeine.

Please read user comment regarding Tramadol. after 2 weeks of taking this med and following the directions I wanted to literally end my life after the 3rd day. This is a horrible drug and thousands of people have horror stories. The withdrawals are like those of a heroin addict. research it and keep it away from your children.

I have developed a yeast infection while taking Cefdinir, should i stop taking the medicine?
My doctor is unavailable for me today. Yeast infections are a side effect of this medicine, but I don't know if I should cease use of the medicine.

you should not stop any medication unless talking to your doctor first.
wait until tomorrow when the office open's, then call and ask.

you can always go to the drugstore or supermarket to get monistat (to clear the yeast infection)
