I take desoximetasone for alopecia and I got some in my eye. I flushed it out, but i'm still nervous. Could I go blind?

I have plaque psoriasis, does desoximetasone and triamcinolone creams work the same?
I was first prescribed desoximetasone, which seemed to work good, however was very expensive. I was then prescribed triamcinolona cream, and I was wondering if anyone know if one was better or what. Thanks!

Desoximetasone is a higher-potency corticosteroid than triamcinolone, but triamcinolone may provide just as much relief. You generally obtain the best results with "combination therapy", when you use a topical corticosteroid along with a medication like salicylic acid and or a vitamin D cream (calcipotriene). However, phototherapies are more effective than drugs and have fewer side effects than most systemic agents. In a 2000 analysis comparing psoriasis treatments, an advanced phototherapy called narrow band UVB achieved the highest complete clearance rate (86% of patients).

Good luck!

Good question. It really shouldn't be, as it's been around for quite a while, and it's certainly far from being the strongest one available. I just checked with the pharmacy, and a 15 gm tube sells for $50.

I wouldn't try it unless it says its for cold sores. To relieve the cold sore start putting ice on it and maybe try putting tea bags on it.

Use over the counter hydrocortisone cream twice a day. Just make sure you don't use it longer than two weeks at a time.

I wouldn't advise it!!! In fact I strongly advise don't even go near the stuff!!
See your doctor.

Desoximetasone Cream is used for:
Desoximetasone Cream is a topical adrenocortical steroid.
Relieving inflammation and itching of the skin.
The precise way it works is unclear, but it is thought to reduce skin inflammation (redness, swelling, itching, and irritation) by stopping the production of certain chemicals in the body.

Mild, temporary stinging when first applied. Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); itching, burning, redness, or swelling not present before using Desoximetasone Cream.

If you have questions about the medicine you are taking or would like more information, check with your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider.

I'm not a derm but it won't be as concentrated (and strong) for the same amount applied as the first one would have been
And if it was so bad compared to the first one, then the dr wouldn't have prescribed it
You'll be fine, don't worry

How do I get rid of bumps on the back of my neck?
I went to the doctor and he says its because of my age ( im 14 ). Uhm, and I dont know what razor bumps are but Im pretty sure its not those.

He gave me a thing called Desoximetasone 0.25%but I think its for rashes.

Anyone have any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it? Thank you.
I think its warts or something.......I can actually use ProActiv on my neck?

Are you sure it's not acne?
Around that age, many kids get acne.

If that's the case you could get ProActiv, or any type of acne remover :)

Can desoximetasone (topical creme, .25%) cause mood swings or agression in young children?
If you have a medical background or first hand experience in this... please answer; this was prescribed by a dermatologis for a 2 yr old of 36lbs. It is now my understanding that the creme is not soley for children, but adults, but allowed for use for children. I have since seen out of character mood swings and aggression in my child. I'm now wondering if his mood has been adversely affected by the side effects of this Corticosteroid.
is it the same as other steroids...?
